Gelber Group is seeking a Windows Administrator to join our infrastructure team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their IT career who wants hands-on experience in a fast-paced, performance-driven trading environment with strong mentorship and long-term growth potential. This position requires full-time onsite presence in our Chicago office, with eligibility for a 4-day/week hybrid schedule after onboarding is complete.

What you’ll do:

• Deploy, configure, and support Microsoft Windows desktops and servers
• Install software, manage printers/peripherals, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
• Administer and support a Windows on-premises domain environment, including:
• Active Directory design and management
• Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
• DNS management
• Manage CIFS shares and NTFS/share-level permissions
• Support cloud services including Azure Active Directory, Intune, and Office 365
• Build and maintain deployment images using Windows Deployment Services (WDS) and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)
• Apply basic networking knowledge including DHCP
• Collaborate across Infrastructure, Security, Networking, and Trading teams

Role requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3+ years of experience in Windows Administration or similar role

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position in Chicago, IL is $72,000 to $120,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity. As an Experienced FX Trader, you will have a real opportunity to have a huge impact on the firm. As an Experienced Discretionary Macro Markets Trader, you will have a real opportunity to have a huge impact on the firm. You will work side by side with other successful and talented individuals to capitalize on market opportunities. This role is for someone who flourishes in a fast-paced environment, has a strong work ethic, a competitive attitude, and a proven record of profitability in a trading position for at least 3 years. This is a senior risk-taking role that will be a key idea generator for the desk.

This is a hybrid position with a strong emphasis on in-person presence in our White Plains office.

What you’ll do:

• Manage your own trading book with a focus on trading liquid macro futures
• Manage your own risk of a portfolio of active strategies and drive trading decisions
• Analyze market trends, order flow, and technical patterns to identify trading opportunities
• Develop, test, and refine your trading strategies using historical data and real-time market conditions
• Continuously monitor market conditions, news, and macroeconomic events
• Monitor material changes in levels of risk and variance in PnL, especially focused around deviation from your plans, and proactively communicate those changes to leadership

What we’d like to see:

• Experience trading liquid macro futures
  • `These will commonly include equity indices and/or metals.
  • Nice-to-have experience includes FX, crypto, options, and/or event-driven trading experience
• Proven track record independently managing a PnL, or being a senior member of the team, driving strategy in a larger environment
• Prior Proprietary Trading or Hedge Fund PM experience strongly preferred.
  • Larger bank environment or similar experience may be considered if significant decision-making autonomy existed.
• Defined discretionary macro edge such as outcome distribution analysis, news and narrative interpretation, relative value frameworks, or portfolio construction discipline.

You will work side by side with other successful and talented individuals to capitalize on opportunities across global Emerging Markets FX and macro products. This role is designed for someone who flourishes in a fast-paced environment, has a strong work ethic, a competitive mindset, and a proven record of profitability in Emerging Markets trading for at least two years.

This position will require a strong emphasis on in-person presence in our Chicago office, located in River North right next to the Merchandise Mart and convenient to public transportation.

What You’ll Do

• Manage your own trading book with a focus on emerging markets FX products including spot, NDFs, futures, options, and local rates-related opportunities
  • Identify and capitalize on macroeconomic, geopolitical, and cross-asset dislocations across LATAM, EMEA, and APAC markets
  • Analyze market trends, order flow, liquidity conditions, and technical patterns to identify trading opportunities in both developed and emerging economies
  • Continuously monitor central bank policy, sovereign risk, inflation dynamics, capital flows, and political developments impacting emerging markets currencies
  • Collaborate closely across trading desks to execute team goals while ensuring core risk standards are observed
  • Develop, test, and refine discretionary and/or systematic trading strategies using historical data and real-time market conditions
  • Conduct independent research to uncover new opportunities and improve the performance and scalability of existing strategies
  • Monitor material changes in levels of risk and variance in PnL, particularly during volatile macro events, and proactively communicate developments to leadership
  • Navigate trading environments with varying liquidity profiles, market structures, and regional regulatory considerations
